COMMUNITY RULES

Everywhere players meet in SLUG THUG: room chat and calls, snaps on SLUGBOOK, player names, strain names, licence plates, home cards, gardens, trades and duels. They sit alongside our Terms of Play. We may update these rules at any time; important changes are announced in the game or on the site.

• No harassing, bullying, threatening or ganging up on anyone, in chat, calls, names or snaps.
• No hate: nothing that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or illness. No slurs.
• No sexual content, and nothing sexual involving minors, ever. That gets an immediate permanent ban and a report to the authorities.
• No threats of real-world violence, self-harm encouragement, or celebrating real tragedies.

• Don't share or ask for personal info: real names, addresses, phone numbers, social media handles, schools, workplaces, or photos of real people. Not yours, not anyone else's.
• Don't try to move people to other apps or sites ("add me on snap"). The chat filter blocks most of it anyway.
• The game's dealing, guns and police are cartoon fiction. Don't use SLUG THUG to arrange, advertise or ask about anything illegal in real life, including real drugs or weapons.

• No cheats, hacks, bots, macros, modified game files or edited saves.
• Found a bug that duplicates items or cash? Report it to support@slugthug.com. Using it on purpose counts as cheating.
• No extra accounts to dodge a ban, farm gifts or rig the SLUG CUP.
• Our economy checks look for wealth that can't be earned in normal play. A flagged account can't trade, use the strain market or enter the SLUG CUP until a person has reviewed it.

• No scams: no fake offers, bait-and-switch, or lying about what you're trading.
• No real-money trading. Don't buy or sell in-game cash, items, strain names or accounts for real money, gift cards, crypto or other games' items, and don't offer to.
• No begging, and no pressuring people into gifts.

• Player names, strain names, licence plates and home cards follow every rule on this page. Names like "admin" or "support", and our own characters' names, are reserved.
• Don't pretend to be SLUG THUG staff, a moderator, another player or a real person.
• Snaps are for moments from the game. No pictures of real people, nothing offensive, nothing that breaks these rules, and no spam.
• No flooding chat, no ads and no links. The chat filter removes most links on its own.

We can rename, hide or remove anything that breaks these rules.

Gardens and homes belong to their owners. Be a good guest. A host can send any visitor home, and the visitor can't come straight back.

• Report a player from their card in a room for bad language, asking for or sharing personal info, harassment or bullying, scamming, cheating, or something else. A chat report sends the moderators up to 40 recent lines from the room so they can see what happened.
• Report a snap as not from the game, offensive, spam, or something else.
• Block a player to hide their snaps and their chat from you and end any buddy link. A block stays on your account.
• Mute someone for your current session, or send a visitor home from your garden or home.

Automatic

• The chat filter removes slurs, threats, sexual words and personal info before anyone sees them.
• If 3 different players report someone within 30 minutes, that player is muted on that server for 30 minutes.
• A snap reported by 3 different players is hidden until a moderator looks at it.

By a person

Reports are reviewed by people. Depending on what happened and your history, we may warn you, remove content, put a hold on trading, ban you for a time (from a day up to 3650 days) or ban you for good. Serious harm, like sexual content involving minors or credible threats, means an immediate permanent ban, and we report it where the law requires.

These examples aren't a complete list. We may suspend or ban any account at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, at our sole discretion, as the Terms of Play say.

What a ban blocks

A banned player can't join multiplayer rooms, trade, use the strain market, enter the SLUG CUP, post, like or report snaps, visit gardens, or use buddies and home visits, and their snaps are hidden from everyone. Their own single-player game and saves keep working. A ban follows the email address, so a new account with the same email starts banned.

Think we got it wrong? Email support@slugthug.com from your account's email address with your player name and what happened. A person will review it and reply. Making a new account to dodge a ban won't help your appeal.
