TERMS OF PLAY

These Terms of Play are an agreement between you and SLUG THUG ("we", "us"). They cover slugthug.com, the SLUG THUG game, its multiplayer servers and everything in them (together, "SLUG THUG"). By creating an account or playing, you agree to them, along with our Community Rules and Copyright & DMCA policy. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information. Contests with real prizes also follow our Contest & Giveaway Rules.

If you don't agree, please don't play.

• You must be 21 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher.
• SLUG THUG is a cartoon game for adults, and some places restrict content about drugs, weapons or gambling-style games. You're responsible for making sure you're allowed to play where you are. Don't play where it's prohibited.
• One person per account. Don't share or sell accounts.
• You can't play if we've banned you, and you can't make a new account to get around a ban.

SLUG THUG is fiction. It shows a cartoon world with cannabis, street dealing, police, weapons and casino-style games, played for laughs. None of it is real: nothing is bought, sold or consumed in the game, and its casino games use only in-game cash, never real money. Nothing in the game is an endorsement of, or instructions for, anything illegal or unsafe in real life.

• Use an email address you own, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• Your player name must follow the Community Rules. We can change or reclaim a name that breaks them, that impersonates someone, or that is reserved.
• A strain name you claim stays yours while you, or someone you sold it to, keep playing. It's released for others after 6 months of inactivity by everyone holding it.
• You can delete your account any time at slugthug.com/account. The Privacy Policy explains what's removed.

In-game cash, buds, strains, guns, clothes, cars, homes, trophies and everything else you earn in SLUG THUG are virtual. They have no real-world value, and they aren't your property. We give you a personal, limited, revocable license to use them in the game.

• They can't be cashed out or exchanged for money, goods or anything outside the game. Buying, selling or trading them, or accounts, for real money or for items in other games is not allowed, on or off SLUG THUG.
• Trades between players are final. Trade offers expire after 120 seconds. We're not responsible for a trade you regret, but we act on scams that break the rules.
• We may change, rebalance, reset or remove virtual items, cash or progress: to fix bugs, to keep the game balanced, to undo cheating or exploits, or when our economy checks find gains that aren't possible in normal play. An account on hold for an economy check can't trade, use the strain market or enter the SLUG CUP until it's reviewed.
• Gifts from us are at our discretion and can be taken back before they arrive.
• Nothing in the game can be bought with real money today. If that ever changes, the purchase terms will be shown before you pay.

Playing SLUG THUG doesn't win anything real. The SLUG CUP, duels, high scores and the casino award in-game rewards only. When we run a contest or giveaway with a real prize, it's announced separately and follows our Contest & Giveaway Rules.

"Your content" is what you create or post here: snaps, chat and call messages, your player name, strain names, licence-plate text, your home card and anything similar. You keep the rights you have in it.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and share your content inside SLUG THUG, and to change its format (for example, resizing a snap), for as long as it's posted. Posted snaps are public. We'll ask before featuring your content in our own marketing. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other players already have and backups that expire on their own.

You're responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to post, and follow the Community Rules. We don't review everything before it appears, but we can remove anything, hide it or limit who sees it.

Follow the Community Rules. On top of them, you agree not to:

• cheat, use bots, macros, modified game files or edited saves, or exploit bugs (report them instead)
• interfere with, overload or attack our servers, or get around rate limits, bans or other protections
• scrape, copy or harvest data from SLUG THUG, or access it other than through the game and site we provide
• reverse engineer the game to cheat or to build a competing or commercial product
• use SLUG THUG for anything illegal, or to arrange anything illegal in the real world

We may suspend or terminate your account or your access to SLUG THUG at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, at our sole discretion, including for breaking these terms or the Community Rules. That includes warning you, removing or hiding content, muting you, limiting features, banning you for a time (up to 3650 days) or permanently, and closing your account. Where the law where you live requires a reason or notice, we'll give one. The Community Rules explain how bans work and how to appeal.

You can stop playing any time, and delete your account whenever you like. Sections that by their nature should survive (like "Your content", "Our stuff", the disclaimers and the limits on liability) still apply after.

The game, its code, art, characters, music, the SLUG THUG name and logo, and the site belong to SLUG THUG or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to play. Don't copy, sell or reuse them except as these terms allow.

Streaming and videos are welcome. You may stream, record and post videos and screenshots of yourself playing, including on channels that earn money, as long as you follow our Creator Guidelines and don't suggest that we sponsor or endorse you when we don't. Non-commercial fan art is welcome too.

The game includes parody brands, products and characters made up for comedy. They aren't connected to, sponsored by or endorsed by any real company.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

SLUG THUG is a live game that we keep building. We may add, change or remove features, places and items, and the game or multiplayer may sometimes be down. We work hard to keep cloud saves safe, but we can't promise saved progress will never be lost. Links to other sites are there for convenience; we're not responsible for them.

SLUG THUG is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. We're not responsible for what other players say or do.

To the fullest extent the law allows, SLUG THUG won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from SLUG THUG. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US $50 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover SLUG THUG's reasonable costs, including legal fees, from claims by others that come from your content or from your breaking these terms.

If something goes wrong, email support@slugthug.com first. Most things are fixed that way, and we ask you to give us 30 days to try before taking any formal step.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you live in the European Union, the UK or another place whose consumer laws give you the right to bring claims in your home courts or under your local law, you keep that right.

The SLUG THUG shop is closed right now. When it reopens, purchases will also be governed by our shipping and returns policy and the terms of sale shown at checkout. Accessories are sold to adults only, for lawful use.

We may change these terms and our policies at any time. Changes take effect when they're posted, and we'll update the effective date at the top. We'll tell you about important changes in advance, in the game or on the site. If you keep playing after a change, you accept it. If you don't, stop playing and delete your account.

These terms, with the policies they mention, are the whole agreement between us about SLUG THUG. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given up the right to. You can't transfer these terms; we can, for example if the business changes hands. If a translation differs, the English version controls.
